Digitek

Recall issued on April 25, 2008. This medication is used to treat heart failure and abnormal rhythm. This medication has been issued a recall due to the possibility that tablets with double the appropriate thickness may have been commercially released. These double strength tablets can cause nausea, vomiting, dizziness, low blood pressure, cardiac instability, bradycardia, and digitalis.

Gadolinium Contrasting Agent

MRI dye containing Gadolinium. This particular dye has been found to cause kidney damage.

Hormone Therapy

Medication used to reduce the Risk of menopause. Medicines such as Prempro and Premarin can increase risk of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, stroke and other complications.

OrthoEvra

A hormone contraceptive transdermal patch. Has been linked to serious injuries such as blood clots, pulmonary embolism, stroke, deep vein thrombosis and even death.

Paxil

Anti-depressant manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline. Paxil has caused an increased risk of birth defects in children born to mothers exposed to Paxil.

Viagra

Manufactured by Pfizer, taken to treat erectile dysfunction, has been known to lead to partial or complete blindness caused by non-arteritic ischemic optic neuropathy. A condition in which blood supply is reduced to the optic nerve causing permanent nerve damage.

Permax / Dostinex

Used in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease and other neurological problems such as restless leg syndrome. These medications have been known to cause Valvular heart disease.

Bextra

Zithromax
