
Accounting Manager – Jackson Office
Provide the following accounting services:
- Issue checks in a timely manner
- Prepare payments for signature
- Work in QuickBooks knowledgeably
- Manage accounting journals
- Monitor, balance, audit, and reconcile all accounts
- Verify funds
- Make deposits
- Corporate tax preparation
- Manage IOLTA (Trust) accounts
- Financial statement audits
Qualifications
- Accounting/business degree
- Previous law firm experience a plus but not required
- CPA certificate a plus but not required
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks
- Knowledge of trust accounting
- Strong analytical mindset
- Strong balance sheet reconciliation skills
- Ability to deal with multiple "emergencies" in a firm with 130 people
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide total accounting support to the Firm including payroll
- Supervise 3 direct reports
- Process payrolls through Paylocity HRIS
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
