Accounting Manager – Jackson Office

Provide the following accounting services:

  • Issue checks in a timely manner
  • Prepare payments for signature
  • Work in QuickBooks knowledgeably
  • Manage accounting journals
  • Monitor, balance, audit, and reconcile all accounts
  • Verify funds
  • Make deposits
  • Corporate tax preparation
  • Manage IOLTA (Trust) accounts
  • Financial statement audits

Qualifications

  • Accounting/business degree
  • Previous law firm experience a plus but not required
  • CPA certificate a plus but not required
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks
  • Knowledge of trust accounting
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Strong balance sheet reconciliation skills
  • Ability to deal with multiple "emergencies" in a firm with 130 people

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide total accounting support to the Firm including payroll
  • Supervise 3 direct reports
  • Process payrolls through Paylocity HRIS
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
