Camila was born in Colombia and grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She joined the U.S. Army Reserve in 2000 after she graduated high school and served on active duty post 9/11. When she got out of the Army in 2006, she moved to north Mississippi. In 2008, Camila got her Associates in Business Administration with honors from Northeast Mississippi Community College. In 2010, she graduated with a Bachelors in Business Management with honors from the University of Mississippi. Camila attended the University of Mississippi School of Law and graduated with honors in 2013. While in law school, Camila did an externship at the Memphis Immigration Court and also clerked for the late Honorable Talmadge D. Littlejohn. Camila took the Mississippi bar in July of 2013 and was admitted to practice in Mississippi in September of 2013.
Camila has two children from her first marriage. She is happily married to Derrick. Camila, her husband and children live close to Tupelo. They enjoy spending time together and traveling.
Camila previously worked for the Mississippi Department of Human Services in Child Support Enforcement and then in personal injury for two years at a different firm. She joined Schwartz & Associates, P. A., in 2023. Her practice includes Mississippi personal injury claims, including motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls and premises liability cases. Camila is fluent in Spanish.
