Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator

Jackson, MS

We are seeking a creative, analytical, quick-thinking Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator to join our marketing team at our office in downtown Jackson!

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or communications
  • Past work experience in marketing/public relations position or similar role
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
  • Experience with research using data analytics software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and Google Suite
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time effectively
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) tools
  • 1-2 years of social media management experience
  • Familiar and comfortable tracking and reporting social media analytics
  • Knowledgeable on social media platforms, including but not limited to: TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn
  • Ability to work alongside a diverse group of employees and simultaneously work toward many company initiatives at once
  • Experience in event planning, promotion and execution is a plus

Additional Qualifications and Skills

  • Graphic design skills are preferred
  • Entry level video editing skills are preferred
  • Ability to work quickly, and methodically, to make deadlines and catch onto trends in social media/digital marketing
  • Strong attention to detail and initiative to complete tasks efficiently
  • Must be able to self-govern, manage time wisely, and prioritize
  • Work alongside the team to create a plan for social media strategies
  • Must be visually analytical, appreciate aesthetics and brand consistency

Responsibilities

  • Participation in planning internal and external communication strategies
  • Developing and producing key communication materials including press releases, feature stories, social media content and talking points for speeches
  • Preparing spokespeople for proactive media relations
  • Assist the Marketing Director with everyday tasks. (i.e. reviewing charitable giving/donations, social media, content creation, etc.)
  • Assist with the development of creative concepts and marketing strategies
  • Tracking trends and reporting back to team with findings
  • Promoting content across multiple channels
  • Build and maintain an internal department calendar
  • Implement content/posting schedule to increase followers on popular social media websites such as TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute internal and external events
  • Interact with followers and potential customers by communicating and answering questions through the company's social pages
  • Audit and oversee marketing campaigns firm accounts daily
  • Prepares, trains and oversees firm employee’s involvement with marketing strategies. (online reviews and general brand representation)
  • Monitor supplies/promotional items/apparel and re-order as needed
  • Measure and report performance of marketing and PR campaigns to leadership
  • Effectively and professionally communicates with external vendors, leadership at the firm, and co-workers
  • Maintain and oversee firm’s brand on external sites. Respond/address comments/messages in a timely manner
  • Prioritize and execute daily tasks in a timely manner

Personal Injury and Premises Attorney

Hattiesburg, MS

The candidate for this position assists injured clients with filing legal complaints, offers legal advice, prepares legal documents, and represents his/her client in court by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Answers client’s questions and guides him or her through the personal injury process.
  • Ensures proper legal representation in all auto accident and premise liability cases.
  • Works with experts and partners to evaluate the merits of a potential case and develop case theories.
  • Prepares witnesses and claimants for hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations and other proceedings.
  • Takes depositions of the claimant, physicians, medical experts, and other parties.
  • Conducts discovery, and drafts pleadings, findings of fact, motions, briefs, opinions and other legal documents.
  • Negotiates settlements on behalf of the claimant.
  • Any other duties, as assigned, and as related to the duties of the position.

Qualifications

  • Four (4) year College Degree from an accredited College or University; three (3) years of Law School and have obtained a Mississippi license to practice law by passing the bar exam and be in good standing with the Mississippi Bar; three (3) to five (5) years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Spanish speaking is a plus.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple and complex instructions, short and long correspondence, and memos. Ability to convey information in a clear, concise, and logical manner. Ability to effectively advocate a position or a cause.
  • Ability to draft effective legal documents such as motions, briefs, memorandums, resolutions, and legal agreements. Ability to develop logical thinking, organization, and problem-solving abilities.

Paralegal - Personal Injury

Jackson, MS

The candidate for this position is responsible for scheduling specific attorney’s meetings, depositions, hearings, mediations and trials by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and maintains specific attorney’s calendar and makes notes in the GrowPath system of client contact conversations.
  • Enter all litigation information into the Grow Path system (i.e. style of case and correct court) once filing of complaints, summons and Civil Cover Sheet has been mailed to the Court for filing.
  • Draft Complaints, Discovery, Correspondence and other legal documents for Mississippi.
  • Communicate with clients, adverse parties (Defense paralegals and Defense attorneys) and court (Court Administrator’s, clerk’s office).
  • Prepares correspondence memorandums for disbursements to client and closes files after disbursement.
  • All legal duties as instructed by the specific attorney and Schwartz & Associates, P.A. protocol.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Associates Degree related to the legal field or a minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of comparable legal experience
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; works well in group problem solving situations; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
  • Ability to manage difficult and emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.
