Richard Schwartz & Associates Injury Lawyer, P.A. Donates to the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children

In honor of National Teddy Bear Day, recognized every September 9th, Richard Schwartz & Associates Injury Lawyer, P.A. donated teddy bears to children patients at the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children. The name of the campaign, “Buddy Bears,” was sprawled across every teddy bear’s shirt. According to the firm’s founder and owner, Attorney Richard Schwartz, the intention behind this act of philanthropy was to provide some form of comfort to children during these trying times.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, patients at Batson Children’s Hospital have not been able to play with other patients in community areas or rooms. With the pandemic stretching on, these children have been social distancing in their rooms for months, just like many other people in the country. It can be particularly hard for these children to stay isolated given their age, and their at-risk status can take a substantial toll on their mental health.

In a recent WLBT News article titled “Local attorney donates teddy bears to Blair E. Batson,” Attorney Schwartz told reporters about his hope for each child who receives a Buddy Bear, “I thought it was important that the children have a Buddy Bear with the hope that each child will have something to hold onto and smile at during their stay at the hospital.”

From the start of this global pandemic, our lawyers at Richard Schwartz & Associates Injury Lawyer, P.A. have been there to support the local community. In April, we donated boxed lunches to healthcare workers at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, partnering with local restaurants to provide food for 3 consecutive days. Thus, we were able to help both healthcare professionals and local businesses with one, very effective campaign.

We believe that a sense of community is the true marker of success, so we take great pride in helping Mississippi’s citizens during the time of COVID-19. For more than 40 years, we have represented victims in their fight for their rights. As a result of this dedication to the community and extensive legal experience, we have been recognized by Super Lawyers®, the National Trial Lawyers, and the Mississippi Association for Justice. If you or a loved one were injured in the state of Mississippi due to the negligence of another, the legal team at Richard Schwartz & Associates Injury Lawyer, P.A. can help.
