Make a Strike Against CF a Smashing Success
Earlier this week, Richard Schwartz & Associates sponsored the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Make a Strike Against CF at Fannin Lanes in Brandon, MS and raised $15,000 in total. This comes as one of many examples of our firm’s commitment to giving back to our community and supporting non-profit organizations that are making a difference.
Six of our attorneys were in attendance, including Brett Ferguson, Cooper Miles, Adrienne Aikens, Walker Lacey, Jake McDaniel, and Michael Traylor. What’s wrong with a little fun? Team Schwartz placed 3rd overall.
The Mission of The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. In the United States, there are around 40,000 children and adults living with cystic fibrosis. Here are some interesting facts about the disease:
- Approximately 1,000 new cases of CF are diagnosed each year.
- More than 75 percent of people with CF are diagnosed by age 2.
- More than half of the CF population is age 18 or older.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the world's leader in the search for a cure for CF, and supports a broad range of research initiatives to tackle the disease from all angles (cff.org).
A Long History of Sponsorship
Our Schwartz Supports is an extension of our legal practice that continuously reviews requests for giving. We work year-round to help people throughout Mississippi not only recover after an accident or injury but also to get back on their feet or to receive the support they need. We are honored to be able to continue giving to these important causes.
