Payroll Benefits Accounting Clerk
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or GED required. Some college preferred
- At least 1 year experience using Quick Books Enterprise and Excel
- At least 1 year experience using Paylocity or another HRIS system
- Be willing to accept and perform any other accounting task as needed
- Provide support to management and other personnel
- Willingness to take on significant responsibility and be a team player
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Payroll processing
- Use of Paylocity HRIS system to input hires, terminations, status changes, and onboarding process
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and questions
- Administer attendance tracking system
- Administer Firm’s parking spaces
- Accounting duties as required: Bank reconciliations of various accounts, Processing escrow checks, Processing journal entries, Assist in entering and processing Accounts Payable
Litigation Paralegal - Jackson, MS
The candidate for this position is responsible for scheduling specific attorney’s meetings, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials by performing the following duties:
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Associates Degree related to the legal field or a minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of comparable legal experience.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; works well in group problem solving situations; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
- Ability to manage difficult and emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinates and maintains specific attorney’s calendar and makes notes in the Needles system of client contact conversations.
- Enter all litigation information into the Needles system (i.e. style of case and correct court) once filing of complaints, summons and Civil Cover Sheet has been mailed to the Court for filing.
- Draft Complaints, Discovery, Correspondence and other legal documents for Mississippi and Louisiana.
- Communicate with clients, adverse parties (Defense paralegals and Defense attorneys) and court (Court Administrator’s, clerk’s office).
- Prepares correspondence memorandums for disbursements to client and closes files after disbursement.
- All legal duties as instructed by the specific attorney and Schwartz & Associates, P.A. protocol.
Compensation is based on education and experience.
Call Center Specialist - Full Time - Jackson, MS
The candidate for this position will be responsible for answering incoming calls, routing calls to appropriate staff and screening potential new cases and determine if they meet our firm criteria:
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement: High School Diploma, however, some college experience or degree preferred.
- Telemarketing skills a plus.
- Prior experience working in a law firm or legal experience a plus.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions as well as write thorough notes.
- Ability to effectively present information to clients and upper management of the firm.
- Ability to multitask (i.e. listen type, and talk on the phone all at the same time).

- Must be able to work until 8:00 pm.
- Gathers information from callers and sends messages/calls to appropriate personnel.
